I am excited to assist you in gaining a sense of livelihood, empowerment, and personal growth in your life while developing coping skills that make various symptoms or life-stressors more manageable. One of my favorite aspects of being a mental health therapist is witnessing people realize their own resiliency, strength, and potential to manage distress or learn new skills they never thought they could. I am eager to learn about your goals and collaborate on action steps in obtaining them. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling more hopeful and capable in achieving your aspirations.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidenced-based psychotherapy which explores how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interrelate, thereby influencing our quality of life. I also utilize Mindfulness-Based interventions and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help with chronic conditions, grief, emotional regulation skills, and developing healthier relationships. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children in the following areas:

·         Depression

·         Managing Worry and Anxiety

·         Improving Self-Esteem

·         Substance Use and Co-occurring Disorders

·         Improving Social Skills

·         Developing Healthier Relationships (Family, Friends, Partners)

·         Stress Management

·         Trauma or Stressful Life Events

·         Grief and Loss

·         Recognizing and Managing Emotions

·         Social Anxiety

·         Social/Work-Life Balance

·         Independent Living Skills

·         Loneliness

·         Self-Harm

·         Life Transitions

I have experience working with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, neurodevelopmental disabilities (ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities), Schizophrenia, substance use disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, managing mental health while coping with chronic physical health concerns, adjustment disorders, and trauma.

Starting a working relationship with a therapist can cause some anxiety, especially if you have never received mental health services before. I encourage you to reach out if you would like to begin or continue your journey in improving your mental health! I am currently offering teletherapy for individuals of all ages.
