As a queer, neurodivergent, fat, and biracial person, Leila is experienced in navigating the complexities of identity and intends to create a therapeutic space where differences are honored.
We all have unique perspectives and ways of being in the world that can be difficult to navigate while managing day-to-day life. Leila is excited to explore how your past experiences, family, society, and institutional forces impact the way you live your life today.
Leila’s experience in community organizing has convinced them that connection is the most important healing factor in a person’s life. These experiences have strengthened their commitment to fostering empathy, understanding, and positive change in the lives of others.
After graduation, they intend to pursue licensure in Pennsylvania and serve their community.
