LSW | Licensed Social Worker
Therapy should be something to look forward to, even on the heavy days. As a therapist, I prioritize your comfort and safety in session to create an environment you feel capable of being vulnerable in. I want to help you be your best self. My approach is highly individualized, as I like to get to know you and your struggles so I can apply an evidence-based, best-practice approach to serving your needs. I will assign “homework” as it feels appropriate, but generally the work in-between sessions is focused on reflecting upon and applying the concepts we discussed in-session into your active life.
I strive to offer a kind and safe environment within the therapeutic space to make sure each session is comfortable and rewarding, ensuring that therapy is adaptive to each individual's needs. I am informed in my practice by a background in philosophy, and I strive to apply that in the form of thoughtful question-asking to try to encourage my clients to think creatively and intentionally about themselves, their thoughts, and their actions.
I am a licensed social worker specializing in (but not limited to) working with the LGBTQIA2+ community. I work with clients spanning from adolescence to adulthood, promoting a compassionate therapy space for individuals to explore their identity and transitional periods. My approach most frequently utilizes a blend of CBT, DBT, ACT, and REBT. As a therapist, I primarily work with queer clients struggling with issues relating to Personal Identity, ADHD, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Depression.
I accept Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, & United/Optum Insurances.
I am available in-person (Northern Liberties) & virtually.
