Offering Telehealth & In-Person Therapy in Northern Liberties
When it comes to our lives and sense of self, our inner wisdom can become drowned out by the noise of circumstance and context. I believe that therapy is a journey that allows us to hear that wisdom again (or for the first time) and ultimately, (re) connect to ourselves. It is a space where we can explore the different parts of ourselves, where we befriend and harmonize with our inner characters, bringing our inner world into better alignment so that we can find peace in our external world.
I also believe we are constituted and sustained by the communities in which we live. Healing necessarily involves creating more harmony within our relationships, partnerships, and larger communities. Therapy also involves exploring ways in which we can build a soul-nourishing community, both internally and externally, for ourselves.
I am a relational therapist, meaning I find the therapeutic relationship itself to be the site of deep healing and transformation. When we are invited to be our true selves and are accepted wholeheartedly, we can tap into our inner wisdom. I integrate a variety of approaches to meet my client’s needs, including mindfulness, self-compassion, existentialism, internal family systems, EMDR, and sand tray.
I am passionate about working with adults and teens dealing with major life transitions, PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, attachment wounds, substance use, LGBTQIA+, women’s issues, and grief and loss. I also enjoy working with individuals going through the transformation that is becoming/being a parent.
I accept Aetna & Cigna Insurances.
