LCSW | Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Congratulations! If you have found yourself here, then you are already doing one of the hardest parts of therapy - getting started! Finding a therapist that you connect with is no easy feat, and can often deter people from the process altogether. I know firsthand how difficult and unpleasant that can be, and it is my approach to spend as much time as needed getting to know each individual to make them feel as comfortable as possible. Having worked as a social worker for over ten years, I have learned how crucial the rapport between therapist and client is, and I take great care to foster those relationships. I also believe in using humor (appropriately!) to ease tensions and facilitate a welcoming environment.

With expertise in chronic illness, justice involvement, trauma, anxiety, and depression, I strive to provide compassionate care to each client. Having a strong background in both the medical field and case management has enabled me to get a bird’s eye view of all of the factors that can affect someone’s mental well-being, and has ultimately allowed me to creatively problem solve with clients in ways I never would have imagined. It may take time to get to the end goal, but there is almost always a different way to look at things - sometimes you just need a helping hand! I always say to people that are hesitant to engage in therapy that sometimes, all you need is someone outside of your usual circle to talk about things with, whether it be for a fresh perspective, an unbiased view, or just a safe space free of judgment.

While I always individualize each session and therapeutic style to the client, I have historically utilized solution focused therapy techniques, psychoeducation, and motivational interviewing. I always adopt a trauma informed lens to guide sessions, and tend to lean towards a cognitive behavioral therapy approach to help clients gain insight and problem solving tactics they can use outside of session. If you think we are a good fit, I would love the chance to get to know you and hopefully help you begin (or continue!) your quest for self-fulfillment. Looking forward to meeting you!

I offer in-person therapy in Society Hill & Teletherapy.

I accept Aetna & Cigna, Highmark, & United/Optum Insurances.
